To me, International Day of the Girl stands for all the women who paved the path before us, and all the girls with big goals and dreams. At A Girl’s Frontier, we want to do everything we can to make those dreams a reality, and we believe one of the best ways to do that is to learn from those who walked the path before us. On this International Day of the Girl I hosted a live Q & A with a few women leaders whose advice was also in my book Her Toolbox: Learning to Be a Female Leader with Advice from Women in Power. These women talked about their experiences and the advice that guides them. It is important to find mentor and people that can help guide us to help achieve are dreams, and the women who came today are helping people do that everyday. I want to thank the women who gave their time and advice today:
Freda Lyon: Vice President for Emergency Services at Wellstar Health System, the largest health system in Georgia
Anne Russel Bazzel: vice president of the investment management division at Goldman Sachs
Jana Kolarik: partner and attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP
Philippa Ellis: assistant general counsel at the Home Depot
